Internship Opportunities for Overseas Students: the JCT International Internship Program (JCT-II)
About us
The Joint Commission Taiwan (JCT) is an international-certified hospital accreditation body that is in charge of Taiwan’s hospital accreditation, quality improvement, patient safety and post-graduate medical education from a national level.
Responsibilities
JCT welcomes students or scholars from the globe to apply for our International Internship Program (JCT-II). We especially encourage applications with diversified background. We offer candidates opportunities to work with professionals in our institute and to visit healthcare facilities around Taiwan. The internship takes 3 months and can extend to a maximum of 6 months. Throughout the internship you’ll gain hands-on experiences with understanding of Taiwan’s world-renown healthcare system, medical education, and quality operation.
Foreign students can not engage in other paid job or work during their internship.
What you will receive in return
Upon completion of the internship overseas students, you will be awarded an internship certificate
The opportunity to observe hospital accreditation processes and visit healthcare facilities around Taiwan
The JCT-II program provides partial compensation for living expenses in Taiwan.
How you should apply
Completed an Internship application form
Completed a statement of study plan to demonstrate their special interest in the program
Provide at least 1 recommendation letter
Provide a certificate of enrollment
Provide documents for applying visa: a copy of valid passport or residence permit (front and back), and a proof of enrollment statement.
An internship contract should be signed between applicants and JCT upon acceptance. All interns will be required to have full health insurance coverage during their stay with JCT.
